About
The people behind the scorecard
Voltcast is a founder-led product from Copenhagen. No sales layer, no support tier between you and the people who built the system — when you write to us or open the chat, a founder answers.
Troels Johannesen
Founder
Software engineer and founder at WeCode A/S in Copenhagen. Troels spent years building automated trading and data systems before turning that discipline on Europe's power market — Voltcast exists because the data behind the energy transition was scattered, zipped-XML-shaped and priced for enterprises. He reads every message that comes in through the contact page and the site chat.
Why we publish our losses
Every forecasting vendor claims accuracy. We publish ours on a live scorecard — recomputed daily against a free naive baseline, with the zones where we lose shown in red and free under the guarantee. The same discipline runs through the product: ingestion health is public, methodology papers explain how we score without fooling ourselves, and every research figure is computed live from the production database, never typed into a page.
The bet: in a market of black-box data vendors, the one that shows its error bars wins trust — and trust is the product.
The company
Voltcast is built and operated by WeCode A/S, a Danish software company in Copenhagen (est. 2016, CVR DK37496510) that builds and runs data-heavy products. Voltcast is self-funded — no investors to please, which is exactly why the scorecard can afford to be honest.
