Privacy policy

We collect the minimum needed to run a subscription API, and we don't sell any of it. This policy explains what we store, why, and your rights under the GDPR.

Data controller

The data controller for all personal data processed by this site and API is WeCode A/S, Thorsgade 59, 2.sal 2200 Copenhagen, Denmark, CVR DK37496510, Denmark — reachable at hello@voltcast.com.

1. What we store

• Account data — name, email, password hash (or Google account ID if you sign in with Google). Legal basis: contract.
• Billing data — handled by Stripe; we store only Stripe customer/subscription identifiers and deposit status. Card details never touch our servers. Legal basis: contract.
• API usage — request counts, rate-limit counters, key last-used timestamps. Legal basis: legitimate interest (operations, abuse prevention).
• Webhook configuration — the URLs and rules you create.
• Marketing attribution — the acquisition channel and UTM parameters recorded at signup or checkout. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

2. What we don't do

• No selling or sharing of personal data with advertisers.
• No third-party tracking scripts on this site.
• No profiling beyond aggregate product metrics.

3. Processors

Stripe (payments, EU SCC), Cloudflare (object storage, EU jurisdiction available), our hosting provider (EU data center), and Google (only if you choose Google sign-in). Each processes data under its own GDPR-compliant terms.

4. Retention

Account data lives while your account exists and up to 90 days after deletion. Invoices are kept as long as tax law requires. Server logs rotate within 30 days.

5. Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction and objection — email hello@voltcast.com and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority (in Denmark: Datatilsynet).

6. Cookies

Strictly-necessary cookies (a session cookie and a CSRF token) are always set — the site cannot work without them. One optional analytics cookie (Google Analytics) is set only if you accept it in the consent banner; declining is remembered and the site works identically. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser, which re-shows the banner.
