Put live electricity prices on your website in 60 seconds

If you run an energy community site, a solar-installer blog, a home-automation forum, a newsroom liveblog or a company intranet in an energy-exposed business, you have probably wanted a live electricity-price widget at some point — and discovered the options are ugly, unofficial, or want an API key and a JavaScript build step. The card shows the zone's price right now, today's range, and tomorrow's curve state once the auction publishes — the three numbers a visitor actually wants — and it updates itself. No API key. No script tag. No cookies set in the iframe. The small Voltcast credit link is the price of free, and it's how the widget stays maintained.

Who this is for (real examples)

Energy communities and cooperatives — show members when to run the dishwasher; the widget's negative-price hours are highlighted, which is exactly when community solar owners should be consuming, not exporting. Installers of heat pumps, EVSE and batteries — a live price card on your landing page is the most convincing "this is why dynamic tariffs matter" argument you can make, and it never goes stale like a screenshot. Newsrooms — during a price-spike news cycle, embed the affected zone in the liveblog instead of quoting a number that's outdated by publication time. The fastest way to get a snippet: open the live terminal, click any zone, hit the share button (top-left) → Copy embed snippet. The snippet for the selected zone lands on your clipboard, ready to paste.

The fine print (short, honest)

The embed serves published day-ahead auction results — ENTSO-E and SMARD data under CC BY 4.0, which is why DE-LU and AT redistribute verbatim without drama; the widget carries the attribution for you. It's cached a few minutes on our CDN, so a million pageviews won't hurt it (or us). Sizes are flexible — anything ≥320px wide reads well; the card is responsive inside the iframe. If you need the raw numbers instead of a card, the same data is a free API key away, and if you need it in a spreadsheet, every terminal zone page has a CSV link.
