European day-ahead prices eased in week 2026-W33, with the cross-zone average at 315.05 EUR/MWh, down from 339.65 the previous week across the 48 zones counted. The direction was broadly softer, though the picture varied widely between the Nordic floor and the stressed markets at the top of the range.
The cheapest zones were again in the north. NO4 averaged 5.27, with a low of 0.60 and a high of 45.23, essentially flat week-on-week at 0.34. SE2 and SE1 followed at 27.51 and 28.15 respectively, both firmer on the week by 14.34 and 15.97. At the other end, UA averaged 6801.09, with a peak of 14978.91, ahead of TR at 2769.89 and IT-SICI at 181.49.
The largest movers were concentrated at the top. UA fell 1043.99 on the week and TR dropped 255.98, while GR softened by 33.10 to 102.75. Negative pricing totalled 68.8 hours across the region. GR led with 26.75 negative hours, followed by PL at 18, NL at 17 and DE-LU at 7. PL recorded the lowest single print at -22.87, while GR touched -0.01.
On our own scoreboard, we scored 46 zones and beat the baseline in 41, with an average improvement of 15 percent; strong results came in AT, ME and SK, while SE3 and DE-LU fell short of baseline. As always, the zones where we lost are free under our accuracy guarantee.
