The European day-ahead average rose to 335.9 EUR/MWh in week 2026-W37, up from 290.12 the prior week. Across the 48 zones counted, the direction was clearly upward, though the picture is heavily skewed by a small number of extreme markets rather than a broad continental lift.
The Nordic north stayed the cheapest region: NO4 averaged 35.35, followed by SE1 at 37.32 and SE2 at 39.36. At the other end, UA led at 6478.72, with TR at 2665.93 and IT-SICI far behind at 220.04. UA also set the week's high print at 15000. The widest week-over-week moves came from UA, up 1591.42, and TR, down 249.77; DK1 rose 51.58 to 161.68.
Negative pricing totalled 43 hours across the tracked zones. GB saw the most, at 8 hours, and also recorded the week's lowest print at -16.65. DE-LU followed with 7.5 negative hours, NO4 with 6.75, ES with 5.25 and NL with 4. That combination of high headline averages and recurring negative hours points to sharp intraday swings rather than uniformly tight supply.
On our own scoreboard, 46 zones were scored and 42 beat the baseline, an average improvement of 15.8 percent, with SE4, AT and SE3 among the strongest results. The honest exceptions were UA, where our MAE of 1313.24 edged above the 1306.04 baseline, and GR, at 24.03 against 23.48. Both losing zones are free under our accuracy guarantee.
